We finally made it out of the marina. Hip Hip Hooray!!!! We had a lot of friends and family, plus three dogs, come to see us off and wish us well. We started out about 12:15 or so. Two of our friends D & S followed us on the river until the Burton Bridge. It was so nice to see them along side of us. E & F followed along on the highway until the Country Pumpkin.
We travelled at a speed of about 7-8 knots, our usual speed, not being speed demons. We stopped at Shampers Anchorage for the night. It was a great spot. It rained most of the evening and night but we woke up to calm waters and sunshine. We had a few things we wanted to do on the boat before we headed to McCormack's Cove to anchor again. We will be going through the Reversing Falls on Wednesday about 1:00 p.m.
Nice start, Brian and Louise. Hope the weather cooperates for you all the way and you'll be at your winter berth before you know it? So - being geographically challenged myself, where exactly is Shamper's Anchorage and McCormack's Cove????
ReplyDeleteMy Bestie, this is your homework for tonight. You have to find these places on a map of NB. If you can't find time you may have to come sail with me so you can look at my navigational charts.
ReplyDeleteDarn! Not fair! Besides - I won't be the only person who doesn't know where the places mentioned are. Be nice to me!!! Please?
