Unfortunately I do not have any interesting pictures to add to the Blog. We left Cape May and headed for Atlantic City. We anchored close to where we had anchored on the way to North Carolina. This anchorage was much better. Atlantic City is definitely a busy city. There are lots of high rise hotels. The gambling must be good.
Our next stop was in Waretown, NJ. On the way there we ran into some nasty seas. Eventually things calmed down and the going wasn't too rough. We went to the Holiday Harbour Marina. This is where I had my accident last fall. The owner Bob and his wife had taken us out for Chinese food the night I fell. I, for some reason, could not eat a thing that night. So, we went for Chinese food again and I took advantage of being able to eat this time. We had a pleasant visit with Bob and his wife.
Our day on Friday was a nice short day. Only 3 hours and on the Inter Coastal waterway. From here on we will be in the ocean until we get home. We should be in New York City on Sunday. Of course, it will be weather dependent.
One thing we noticed. Every shore is lined with houses. It is not very often that the shore is not lined with houses side by side and so close together. Of course some of the houses are extremely large.
I will try and get some good pictures going through New York.
Its me Joan. I am sure you are going to have quite happy emotional,Madeleine will want her tea biscuits right away, I admire your incredible courage - to venture into the waters blind and trust you both could handle this adventure. Love you
